6. Occupational Health Personnel TrainingFor workplaces with assigned health professionals, the following trainings are required:
- Occupational Health Course: For nurses, physicians, and dentists assigned to company clinics
- Objective: Provide knowledge in workplace health surveillance, emergency response, and employee wellness programs
- Conducted By: DOLE or DOH-recognized training providers
- Purpose: Update employees and safety officers on new laws, technologies, and safety trends
- Frequency: As prescribed by DOLE or at least every 3 years for First Aid and Safety Officer renewals
- Method: Refresher seminars, workshops, or in-house reorientation sessions
Who Can Conduct OSH Trainings
- Only DOLE-accredited training providers or the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) can conduct official OSH trainings.
- Trainers must be accredited as OSH Practitioners, OSH Consultants, or FATPros.
- Trainers are required to have:
- Completed the 40-hour BOSH course;
- Completed a DOLE-approved Training of Trainers (TOT);
- At least two years of OSH-related experience.
Training Duration and Frequency
